The last of major Kenyan events concluding this years events .With Face of Kenya kicking of in July ,one of the top indoor event showcasing Kenya while giving back and Kenya in the park with friends to interact and showcase .
My journey all through was not always easy but that is exactly why I joined it; I wanted to put myself out there and allow myself to grow. Being quite new in the diaspora, Face of Kenya offered me a chance to integrate with the community and maintain a bridge that keeps me connected to home. And it is through this journey, that I feel more determined to participate within the diaspora and back home; it is also through this journey that I feel more aware and proud to wave my Kenyan flag wherever I am. I have met some great Kenyans and, as a team, we have been able to build great friendships. Running alongside very passionate and positive champions of change whom I have not only had fun with but learnt a lot from, I also had a golden chance to meet and interact with amazing mentors and high profile figures who are a great inspiration to youth. Face of Kenya has taught me the art of thanksgiving and why it is my duty to give back to the community. It has emphasised the value in being part of change and sustaining it. Ithas taught me to stop pointing fingers and be responsible, instead. Face of Kenya is a platform I would recommend any Kenyan youth to join.
