Greg Hands signs MoU to promote bilateral trade and investment between UK and Kenya
The UK’s Minister of State for International Trade, Greg Hands, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Principal Secretary of Investment and Industry Betty Maina, on behalf of the Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest).
The MoU is expected to help promote and enhance bilateral trade and investment between Kenya and the UK, the largest foreign investor in the country.
PS Maina, has encouraged UK companies to engage and invest in the opportunities presented by President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Big 4 Agenda which consists of affordable housing, food security, affordable healthcare and revamping the manufacturing sector.There is already a strong foundation for promoting UK investment in Kenya with 7 of top 10 tax payers in Kenya being UK companies and 1 in 10 of Kenyans in formal employment working for British companies.
The leaders of KenInvest, the Export Processing Zones Authority and the British Chamber of Commerce Kenya attended the meeting along with the UK High Commissioner to Kenya, Nic Hailey and his deputy Susie Kitchens.

The commonwealth secretariat is doing significant amount of work for the young people. There are young people than adults in each commonwealth country. The youth are Knowledgeable and skilled , mature and ready to serve. The event was a celebration of those making significant impact to their community by providing innovative solutions to the problems in their community. This is the commonwealth week, celebrating the good of the commonwealth and diversity of the 2 billion people. Its the year of inclusion. Leaving no one behind _ inclusivity of the commonwealth ,means each one of us have to work.hard to reach this goal. "An eagle to sow needs all its feathers". hence we require the young people to play their roles. All the commonwealth youth awards finalists 2016 are champions. Every year young people empower themselves to being a powerful voice and advocate for others. The winner of the Young Person of the year has grown amidst the conflicts in Cameroon to become an amazing Peace ambassador and mentor for youth.
