Hello, my name is Hellen Kamau, and I am 23 years old. I recently graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery with my Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. I plan on pursuing my pharmacy Graduate degree and become a Doctor of Pharmacy. My dream and passion is to use the ministry God has given me to impact Kenya. In order to make my vision a reality, I intend to fund health care in Kenya! I have several interests but I really desire joining organizations that promote a healthy and better Kenya, especially for women and children. With that said, my charity of choice, Off the Blocks Kids Athletics, supports kids to get out of estates and do activities while nurturing poor background kids with athletic skills. Off the Blocks Kids Athletics promotes healthy eating and exercise lifestyles. With a passion for sports, I see Kenya becoming an influential nation that is admired for more than her stellar accomplishments in the Olympics. I want my nation to strive past suffering and truly revive its healthcare system. Together we can all contribute to the renewal of our nation by contributing to the people often forgotten/overlooked by society. I dream of a more efficient health care system, effective hospital practices, and affordable pharmaceuticals. I am crazy in love with my beautiful country; I love the culture, diversity, and pride we share. Being raised in the United States has not decreased the love I have for my nation, it actually reminds me of the work God has for me in Kenya. Help me be a positive attribute to my country Kenya as I support OFF THE BLOCKS KIDS ATHLETICS charity. I believe this is only the beginning for me; I want to reach new levels and exceed past limitations for the glory of God and for the advancement of my nation.
Thank you,
Future Dr. Kamau
