AMBASSADOR JO- ANNE ATTIKA FOKUSA 2017

7/3/2017

Greetings to everyone My name is Jo-Anne Attika. Born in December, I am 21 years old. Currently, I work at a nursing home. Future wise, I'm still exploring which career to pursure by heart. I love Kenya for several reasons, but I can share some of them. There is a natural warm feeling that greets me when I'm there. The aura is just pleasant. The environment can be calming, but it can also be uplifting. Most of the people are welcoming, kind, and loving. The food is delicious, natural, and healthy. Although I'm currently living in Florida, it would be one of my greatest wish to move back to my home one day. Step up 4 Autism is a foundation located in Kenya that I would like to fundraise and be of help to as much as I can. This foundation aims to helps kids in the spectrum with affordable hourly therapy, sensory entertainment, and activities. It aims in providing the caregivers and parents an insight on how to assist the kids and try to understand issues that surrounds them. They also create awareness around communities so that the kids can get help. The foundation empowers the youth to socialize and interact with the kids. It helps them to see and understand how they can tackle difficulties as a group. They also get to see the fulfillment of appreciation that comes after while addressing dire issues facing families living with the children in the spectrum. The foundation helps in locating schools that offer Service's within the country. With a team effort, Step Up 4 Autism and a foundation known as Ready Aiders, worked together to set up an educational therapeutic room/ The Stepps Therapy Center, for kids in the spectrum. The center is located in Mathare/Huruma county. Please support, and vote for me. With your help, we can make a difference for these kids. Let's make it happen.

Jo-Anne Attika is one person whom I have seen her passion for helping children and adults with autism spectrum disoder. She participated in a recently concluded event organized by Step up 4 Autism in collaboration with Ready Aiders Foundation. Attika has unquenched passion for serving people with autism. I have seen that and I will definitely vote her in if I were anyone who knows her.

Well Jo- Anne, I have known her to be a cheerful lady. She has a golden heart, I have seen her passion as Nurse. One will say She is Mother Teresa of Today. In my native land we have a notion that say giving is all about the heart not the wealth or money, vividly Jo-Anne has embraced this virtue with lots of love. She has my Vote
