AMBASSADOR TAMARA KAHAI - FOKF 2018

I am currently a student at the British School of Paris, in my final year of 6th form. I am heavily invested in volunteering activities in my school as part of the charities committee that mostly collects money or food to be able to contribute to different aspects of the community. I also volunteer at refugees homes in terms of sorting out different resources for them. I am a firm believer of equality of the social classes and I hope to go on to study Development Studies and Economics, to finally work for organisations that aim to help developing countries. Given the International exposure, I have never been prouder in my life to be a Kenyan as they deeply value their culture and traditions. My charity of chance is Kaimosi Special School for Children with disabilities in Vihiga. My aim with the charity is to be able to raise funds in order to buy new equipment for these children so that they can enjoy their learning and school experience despite of the challenges they may face.
I would like to do so by buying beds and beddings as well as create a playground for them that will not only be creative but something for them to enjoy.

My charity of choice would have to be New Life children's home.
