My name is Evalyne Kogi, a 20 year old student, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. I was born in Kenya, and was raised there for the first 10 years of my life. In those 10 years, I grew to learn about my beautiful nation and the learning has never stopped. I love the cultural diversity and that gives me a chance to not only learn my own but others as well. Being able to speak 3 different languages allows me to interact and work with people from different parts of the country.
There are many things to love about my country Kenya, ranging from the ever warm climate, the breathtaking sceneries, mouth watering food, the diverse wildlife habitats of course, and the beautiful people. I am thankful to God for giving me this opportunity to make use of this platform as well as to help raise awareness for people with pressing needs.
I currently work with a company that assists individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. Being in this field has given me an excellent opportunity to expand my knowledge about different kinds of disabilities. My job has enlightened me on how to care for people who have been limited by accidents and disabilities. I love what I do and my prayer is that I thrive and succeed in helping someone in need. That is why I support activities that involve giving back to the society and community. I'm therefore supporting SPECIAL CAREGIVERS SPACE; an Organization based in Kenya that assists children with cerebral palsy, spinal bifida, autism and other conditions that render kids to disabilities. Let’s join together and be special caregivers to special children in this charity.
