My name is Judy Nzeki, born and raised in a small town 39 miles South East of the capital city, in Eastern Kenya. Through an amazing set of circumstances I earned an opportunity to attend college in Southern CA where I currently live. Graduating with a Bachelors in Psychology I am now pursuing my Masters in Public Health with an emphasis on Global Leadership. As an optimistic person, I love life and everything nice. I am bubbly and with a toxic laughter (so am told). I have been & still am a huge advocate for making a difference in people's lives.
Being a part of a non-profit organization - Tumaini International - for over 10 years now has enabled my growth and passion for helping people. Growing up we did not have much, but I had the fortune of being a recipient of Tumaini International's support. In the same token, I am here to represent those less fortunate kids who are not only AIDS orphans, but also needy and wanting to be accepted and appreciated as equal members of the society. I represent a generation that will be the leaders of tomorrow.
I love Kenya because its home. And home is where the heart is. For where your heart is, there your passion will be also. The passion to stand up for your country, understand and appreciate your roots. The passion to encourage the young people to realize their potential, expand their horizons, come together as a nation and embrace our pride, Kenya. Thank you Face of Kenya USA for such an incredible opportunity to serve the community and represent my country Kenya!
"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style."--Maya Angelou--
